v0.112.0: challenges are played within the game

  • Challenges are played within the game. Challenges are designed to be played without outside help, and the game now says so plainly. Before you pick a challenge, its card lists the steps for its tier, with the game's real counts and time limit and what wins or fails it. For each step it also says whether outside help is discouraged (“Best played with only what the game shows you.”) or not allowed (“No outside help: using it is cheating.”).
  • The rules match the cards. The rules' line “Google Maps and web searches are fine” still holds outside challenges, but no longer inside them, where each card says what it allows.
  • League players: the round you are playing now keeps the rules it opened with, so Google Maps and web searches stay fine in its challenges, whatever the cards say. The new rules start with the next round.
  • Fairer freezes in GeoRace. A lost challenge's result says how long you are frozen. While frozen, you can still bid in a curse-card auction, use your quest tools, send coins to a playmate, and buy clues and power-ups.
  • Overlapping markers, easy to pick. Hover over markers that overlap and they spread into a strip, so you can open any one. Clicking an opponent who stands on a station now opens the station.
  • The new look on more pages: sign-in, your profile, News, the shop, tournaments, leagues and replays.
