HOW A HUNT WORKS

Question. Chase. Corner.

  1. 01

    They vanish

Your quarry takes a head start — riding out on real transit and tucking themselves away near a station. Somewhere out there, a hiding zone is born.

  2. 02

    Interrogate the world

Fire off questions — radar, thermometer, matching, photos. Every answer must be truthful, and every answer shrinks the map.

  3. 03

    Weather the curses

Every question you ask arms the hider with cards: dice rolls before you can move, speed caps, locked trains. The hunt isn't meant to be easy.

  4. 04

    Close the net

Step into the hiding zone and the hider freezes where they stand. Finish it on foot — 50 m or closer. The faster the find, the better the hunt.

WHY IT HITS DIFFERENT

The board is the real world

  • Real transit, real timetables

Trains, buses and ferries run on actual schedules. Miss the 14:32 and you're waiting on the platform like everyone else.

  • One world, every scale

From dense metro webs to rural branch lines — real schedule data across a growing set of regions worldwide.

  • A question arsenal

Radar pings, thermometer checks, photo demands. Seekers choose their weapons; hiders pray.

  • Cards & curses

Answering questions builds the hider's hand. They cash it in for time bonuses — or curses that stop seekers cold.

  • Solo or head-to-head

Hunt an AI hider on your own, or face a friend one-on-one.

  • Zero installs

Everything runs in your desktop browser — no downloads. Make an account and you're hunting in minutes.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

FAQ

Is it free to play?

Yes — Worldboard is free to play. Members play ad-free and can speed the game clock up all the way to 80×; you can become a member any time from the shop.

Do I have to physically travel?

No. The game plays entirely in your browser on real map and timetable data. You ride the trains virtually — the schedules are real, your legs stay home.

How many players do I need?

None but yourself: solo mode pits you against an AI hider. Multiplayer is head-to-head — one hider versus one seeker.

Where in the world can I play?

Anywhere Worldboard has transit coverage — from dense metro networks to rural branch lines, across many real-world regions, with more added regularly.

What exactly is a curse?

A card the hider plays against you: forcing dice rolls before you can move, capping your speed, locking you on a train, or blocking whole categories of questions. Every curse costs the hider cards to cast.

How long does a round take?

Typically 1–3 hours, depending on the map and how good the hiding spot is. You can save a game and pick the hunt back up later.
